PPPoE billing system for MikroTik with M-Pesa
VunaFlow runs PPPoE billing for home and business customers on MikroTik. You set the packages; it creates the logins on the router, collects payment, and switches customers off and on by itself.
What it does
- Creates each customer's PPPoE username, password and speed profile on the router. No WinBox typing.
- Gives each customer an account number for your paybill, plus a renewal link with an M-Pesa prompt.
- Sends reminders by SMS or WhatsApp before expiry, with the amount and how to pay.
- Switches a customer off when their time runs out, and back on within about a minute of paying.
- Renews on a fixed date each month or a number of days from payment, your choice per ISP.
- Fair usage: slow a customer down after a monthly or daily data allowance instead of cutting them off.
- Imports existing customers from a spreadsheet, keeping their usernames and passwords.
- Shows who is online, who is due, who has lapsed, and data used per customer.
How it reaches your router
VunaFlow connects to each MikroTik over its own secure tunnel, so it works behind CGNAT, Starlink and 4G without a public IP. Changes to a customer reach the router in seconds; if the router is offline, they are applied when it comes back.
Price
KSh 15 per active PPPoE customer per month, plus KSh 500 per router. Lapsed customers are not billed. No percentage of what your customers pay you, and the money goes straight to your own till or paybill.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a contract or minimum?
No. You pay monthly for your routers and active PPPoE customers and can stop any time.
Can PPPoE customers also use my hotspot?
Yes, for ISPs who switch it on: a PPPoE customer can log in on your hotspot access points with the same username and password while their account is paid.
Do you support static IP customers too?
Yes. Static IP customers are billed and suspended the same way, at KSh 25 per active customer per month.
